Brainchild of ‘Actonstage’, Jo Parkin shares with us all the origins behind what is destined to become one of the most useful search facilities on the worldwide web - to actually help individuals and/or organisations – spot and secure the entertainer of their choice. I wanted to create a database of amateur and professional stage artists, from comedians to choirs, solo singers to ventriloquists, and make it accessible to the public. ‘Actonstage’ was to be the missing link between venues and artists.
Artists can register with ‘Actonstage’ and be entered on to our database. Their names and details can be found by individuals wanting to book them or simply find out a little more. Even if an act already has its own website, ‘Actonstage’ provides a unique promotional opportunity as we market our services to all types of venues and organisations both “on - and off – line”.
People and venues looking for an act can use our search engine to quickly find suitable artists and choose who they would like to book without going through the laborious processes of tracking down individuals and then being pressured by their agents. |
