Speaking about his achievement, Michael said,

“However thanks to the quality training and mentoring I received I was soon able to help businesses be found easily and cost-effectively by local people looking for their goods and services online.
“We also supported by a team of about 50 people developing new products and creating programmes to ensure our customers stay one step ahead of their competitors.”
Sales director of Infoserve, Mark Riley, is delighted with Michael’s achievement.
“It was great to present Michael with the award in front of 75 of his colleagues. We have a great atmosphere in the office and they were all delighted for him.
“Michael is also testament that with the right training and mentoring people can develop a successful career in telephone sales.”

Tom Martin has joined Leeds-based Infoserve, the online business directories and local search specialist, as operations manager to assist with its rapid growth and product development strategy.
The appointment follows the recruitment of 30 people in Leeds in just two months.
Six new personnel in production, software development and copywriting have been recruited at the Leeds Bradford Airport head office, while 24 media sales executives are now working at the new sales operation, which opened in The Calls at the beginning of September.
In the newly created role, Tom Martin will be reporting to the operations director, Derek Oliver, and be primarily responsible for the leadership of the business’ operational functions, including technical, IT and software development.
He joins from Wetherby-based software development company, iQ Business where he was IT project manager. Prior to that he was responsible for a number of IT support roles at Nuffield Health.
Derek Oliver believes Tom’s appointment is key to enabling Infoserve to progress to its next stage of development.
“With the addition of 30 people at the new Leeds office and ongoing recruitment in our Darlington operation, we now have approximately 150 sales people,” he said.
“To cater for the significant increase in new business generated by additional personnel it is essential we maintain and regularly improve the systems we have in place. Furthermore if we are to stay ahead of our competitors we need to continually introduce innovative products to ensure our customers take advantage of the rapid growth in online search.
“Tom will be using his skills and experience to oversee the various operational functions to ensure we remain at the forefront of technology.”
