Gourmet Roasts brings together 2 very experienced caterers, Maggie and John. Together they can provide you with a meal of the highest quality – and here is why!
John Cox has been cooking hog roasts “with a difference” for many years before they became so popular. He cooks the pig over a wood fire, using oak and ash from a locally managed forest. The slightly oaky taste is wonderful and arguably more succulent than if it were cooked on gas. Your guests will love to see the pig cooking on the open fire!
Maggie Beecher has been the proprietor of a successful outside catering company in Wales and is now teaming up with John in W. Sussex. Please view her website www.thedinnerset.co.uk. She can provide the rest of the meal, whether it be either a casual meal, or a formal meal with place settings, the hog being the centre piece. Whether eat you sitting or standing, we use fine china plates, beaded cutlery, serve home made tasty stuffing and apple sauce, quality bread rolls, home prepared salads/vegetable dishes. We use linen cloths and even provide a fresh flower arrangement! In fact everything to add “a touch of class” to the occasion!
We can do the complete meal for you, from canapés to petits fours or just the hog roast with accompaniments.
Drinks can be provided on a sale or return basis, although generally you prefer to supply your own.
We have a uniformed team to give you friendly, professional but discreet service.
If you have a smaller party, nearer 50 guests, we suggest a lamb, which is every bit as succulent! We will cook other meats but have found that pork and lamb are by far the most popular.
